Our Identity

Galatians 3:26 (AMP) “For you [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified and] are all children of God [set apart for His purpose with full rights and privileges] through faith in Christ Jesus.”

Do you ever question who you are? What’s your identity? At times we let the things that happen to us define who we are…things that cause such an impact and change how we’ve done life. But I have good news for you, you are not what’s happened to you. Your identity isn’t your sickness, it’s not your divorce…your identity isn’t what you experienced as a child, the hurt, the betrayal. Jesus gave us our identity at the cross. And here’s a news flash…He has never felt a moment of regret. He’s never gone to the Father and said, “I shouldn’t have given My life…I shouldn’t have hung on the cross for him, for her…they’ve just been too bad and they don’t deserve My love…” NO! He gave you your identity at the cross when He said, “It is finished!” He made a way to the Father. He became the way. So what is your identity—you are a CHILD OF GOD!
