KNOW HIM
“Thus says the LORD: “Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.” Jeremiah 9:23-24
The Lord is all things to all people, just as the apostle Paul declares we can be in 1 Corinthians 9:22.
“To the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”
Although He is lovingkindness and righteousness in the earth—this scripture declares He exercises judgement at the same time.
In the times that we are living, seems our challenge is determining WHEN to extend WHAT attribute of God.
However, as Jesus returned to the Father after His resurrection, He unleashed the Holy Spirit upon the earth, to comfort, lead and teach us. Now we can operate as His ambassadors to lead others to the saving knowledge of the work of the cross, as we understand and know Him more and more each day. To know Him is to love Him—and to love Him should cause us to want to know Him more every day.
